The story behind the design
Round coasters featuring Mrs Delany's botanical paper collages, each with a different flower.
Mrs Delany's flower collages. Mary Granville (1700–1788) spent her happiest married years in Dublin and, encouraged by her second husband, Dean Patrick Delany, developed her remarkable artistic talent. At the age of 72 she invented a new art form: botanical pictures cut from coloured paper.
Her "paper mosaicks", as she called them, occupied her until October 1782, when failing sight made her stop. By then she had completed nearly one thousand. She placed them in ten volumes, which are now in the British Museum in London.
Made in England by Lady Clare to our exacting specifications, with a hard, heat-resistant melamine surface (to 150°C), an extra-strong core of sustainably sourced eucalyptus and a natural cork back. Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Every set arrives in our presentation gift box.
Size: each round coaster measures 10 cm in diameter.

Care
Wipe with a soft damp cloth and dry. Do not soak, and do not put in the dishwasher. Avoid placing pans straight from the hob onto the mats.

Delivery is free on every order, to every country. Each set is dispatched gift boxed from the United Kingdom within 5 working days, by tracked service, and your tracking link is emailed the day it leaves us.
Typical delivery times after dispatch:
- United Kingdom: 2–4 working days
- Europe: 3–6 working days
- United States and Canada: 3–6 working days
- Rest of the world: 5–10 working days

Customs and import taxes
UK prices include VAT. Buyers outside the UK may need to pay import duties or taxes when their parcel arrives; these are set by the destination country and collected by the courier. Please contact us before ordering if you would like us to confirm how these fees will be paid for your order. We are not responsible for customs-related delays.
Returns and exchanges
We accept returns and exchanges within 30 days of delivery. Please contact us first so we can help, and return the set unused in its presentation box. If anything arrives damaged, email us a photo and we will put it right.
Cancellations
Cancellations are accepted if requested within 2 days of purchase.

Our tablemats are produced to our exacting specifications by our production partner, Lady Clare Ltd, in England.
